Late Friday night (early Saturday morning on the East Coast) news broke that Mitt Romney’s camp was going to pick Congressman from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan, as his running mate for the 2012 US presidential election.
Ryan, a seven-term congressman, is the chairman of the House Budget Committee, has long been on the short list of Romney’s potential candidates for a running mate.
According to his website, Ryan is a Wisconsin native and father of three children (daughter Liza and sons Charlie and Sam) with his wife Janna.
As chairman of the House Budget Committee, Ryan authored “The Path to Prosperity: A Blueprint for American Renewal”. This plan may prove to move to the front of Romney’s campaign as the platform on which he will build his economic recovery plan.
