Every day the news outlets are pressed for information and need it fast. There is no day where that is more evident than on the presidential election. On a day with numbers flying about at a furious pace the best way to make them readable is graphics. Sure it’s great to get those photos of politicians shaking hands and kissing babies. In a pinch, you’d probably even settle for a talking head as artwork on a story. Sometimes you’re lucky enough to come across a great photo showing a politician with their shoes off, or making a grumpy face at an aide or three – something different enough to add depth to your political coverage. All of those are great options for covering a story, but when it’s time to get down to the real circus that’s a presidential election, those photos just won’t do. Continue reading →
