The question we’re going to answer today is what can you get for a buck. You won’t go hungry, that’s for sure. Slowly but surely the dollar (or its discount cousin 99 cents) has crept into the marketplace like a sort of disruptive technology in the fast food industry. You’re not going to get a Jim Lahey Company style artisanal, gourmet pie. As a matter of fact the quality varies so much between these pizzerias that we’re not even sure what you’ll get on any given day. You only hope that the Dept. of Health has given them a “A” to hang in their window as opposed to the dreaded “C” or “Grade Pending”. Continue reading →

Sometimes money gets a pretty bad rap. “Money is the root of all evil,” that sort of thing. I guess its pretty easy to see why, since for the most part anyone who has a lot of the stuff also has a lot of power. But on the other hand, without money we would still be back in the Stone Age and Bartering for all of our stuff. Which could get tedious…Hauling chickens, apples, and other produce around the mall in order to trade for a pair of jeans just doesn’t sound like a lot of fun to me for some reason. Continue reading →
