The Oscars always bring the hottest trends in fashion. And as exciting as the award ceremony was, the next day everyone is really talking about what they wore. This year, I was less-than-impressed with many of the gowns that graced the Academy Awards. Not that there weren’t some beautiful dresses, just nothing that wowed. And if you look at any of the best and worst dressed lists, you’ll see that there are many conflicting opinions out there. Some loved Emma Stone’s ginormous bow, while others described her as a present no one wanted to unwrap. Jessica Chastain is getting mixed reviews as well. You either liked the gold design or you thought it looked like a glittery diagram of the skeletal system.
But the dresses at the ceremony weren’t the only ones that were making statements, there were plenty more (and I would say head-turning) gowns showing up at the after parties. Continue reading →
