Rick Santorum announced today that he is suspending his campaign in order to spend more time with his daughter Isabella who was hospitalized this past Friday. Santorum said the decision wasn’t easy, but he and his family made the decision to pull out of the race the same way they made it to jump into the campaign “around the kitchen table” with the whole family together.
In his farewell speech in front of several reporters in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Santorum touched on many of the themes from his campaign and his dream for American. He even brought up his now famous sweater vests and how they become the official wardrobe for the Santorum campaign trail.
Closing his remarks, Santorum expressed his love for the United States and vowed to keep fighting to keep the American Dream alive.
Check out all the photos you need of Santorum on our 2012 US Presidential Election site (we have many photos of the sweater vest).
