It has been more than six months since the New England Patriots and the New York Giants last took the field for Super Bowl XLVI. Now there is less than a month before the season kicks off in New York with the Cowboys at Giants. The next month can feel like six months since all the players are back on the field but all we can get is pre-season games which don’t quite fulfill the need for football.
When camp opened all eyes were immediately focused on New York, but not because of the Super Bowl Giants. When Denver landed Payton Manning they immediately shipped Tim Tebow to the Jets where Tebowmania picked up right where it left off last year.

Aside from Tebow and Manning, ttraining camps have been the annual evaluation of players with the focus on the top college prospects which give fans of all teams the feeling of optimism. All the NFL fans are thinking that if X, Y, and Z happen this season then their team will make it to the Super Bowl.

All of the anticipation will peak on Sept. 5 when the NFL season kicks off followed by a full slate of games on Sunday the Sept. 9. For hardcore fans waiting for any real football, the college teams are also in camp getting kicked in the butt as their season starts August 30 with 17 regular games fallowed by a full Saturday including Michigan vs. Alabama which should be more than enough action for any football fan.
