I’ve held it off as long as I could (a total of 12 days and six games), but there is no use fighting the Linsanity any longer. It’s not that I have anything against Jeremy Lin personally, and it’s not really even that I don’t want to see him succeed. Nor am I a cynic that can no longer believe in Cinderella stories. It’s just I cannot understand the Linsation. Seriously. It’s just Lincomprehensible that someone could come “Lin” and start regularly scoring 20+ points a game (or at least dishing out 13 assists when he’s not putting up Linsane points) and make a team like the New York Knicks relevant again. Linconceivable.
I cannot wrap my brain around it. It’s just so Lincongruous to how everything in the NBA works.
On Feb. 4 the New Jersey Nets thought they’d have a win in the bag with Linjuries to New York’s starters. The Knicks even had to reach down into their D-League to pull up a player that had already been cut from two other NBA teams and had come from Harvard (imagine me saying that with an arrogant and dismissing jock-like sneer) of all schools. But this remarkable Lindividual went off for 25 points and started the next game for New York.
Since then, the Knicks have been 7-0 and are Lindebted to a kid that seems to have finally found his niche and he’s becoming Lincreasingly hard to stop. While there are a few detractors (whose voices are being silenced quickly), it doesn’t look like this Lincredible story will end any time soon.
The beautiful thing about Newscom is that we have pictures of Jeremy Lin from way before it was cool to have pictures of Jeremy Lin. We’ve got high school and Harvard photos, along with a whole host of pictures from the last six games. So head back to Newscom to see the best pictures of Lin.
