He shouldn’t be a too unfamiliar face. Paul Dano has already starred in some big films but may have been over shadowed by his more familiar-faced co-stars. The 27-year-old most recently has been seen in big block buster hits like Cowboys & Aliens and the Tom Cruise action film Knight and Day. He is probably best known for his part in the highly popular Little Miss Sunshine and his critically acclaimed role in There Will Be Blood. Paul will have to prove his leading man skills this spring when Being Flynn will be released where he stars alongside the great Robert De Niro.
However Paul Dano has taken on another leading role in this year’s Sundance Film Festival competitor, For Ellen. The movie is about struggling musician and his fight for custody of his daughter from his estranged wife. The Sundance Film Festival begins January 19th and the film will compete in the US Dramatic Competition.
With no reviews out of the unreleased film, I can only imagine they will be in praise of the talented actor. At just 12 years old, he was cast on Broadway in Inherit the Wind. He also is the singer and guitarists for his band Mook and his newest endeavor is directing a short film that he wrote himself. The guy does it all! Not to mention that he has accomplished so much before the age of 30.
So check out these images (and more back at Newscom) of Paul Dano, and be sure to memorize his face!
