You probably recognize Josh Radnor from the highly popular television show How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM). And if you haven’t seen the show, I highly recommend that you go out and buy/rent all 7 seasons on DVD. It’s charming, hilarious, and like any TV show that becomes a smash hit, the cast is phenomenal. I don’t think anyone could play the womanizing Barney Stinson better than Neil Patrick Harris. And Josh Radnor has nailed the very likable, hopeless romantic, Ted Mosby.
Before HIMYM, Josh did stints on a variety of different television shows and starred on Broadway. No fame came until he landed the Mosby role. And it is most likely due to his success on the show that he has been able to venture into new projects.
Josh made his directorial debut in 2010 with the film happythankyoumoreplease in which he also wrote and played the lead in. The movie won an Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. And although it wasn’t exactly deemed a success at the box office, it has gained popularity since its release. That popularity may just help Josh get more recognition for his latest film, Liberal Arts, which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The movie also stars the wonderfully talented Elizabeth Olsen, and should be released to theaters later this year.
Having watched How I Met Your Mother for years now, I have a much greater respect for the actor after discovering his first film. There seems to be a lot of potential in Josh Radnor. So check out these images (and the more we have back at Newscom) of Josh!
