Since it was announced in 2007 that Sochi would host the 2014 Winter Olympics, Russia has been working to build the 12 venues that will host all of the Olympic events. The massive project is done and just days away from hosting the best athletes in the world along with their thousands of fans.
The venues are split into two clusters with the mountain cluster hosting the many of the skiing and snowboarding events. The costal cluster, located on the shores of the Black Sea, will host the ice events of hockey, curling, and the opening and closing ceremonies.
