As Summer wraps up and we head into Fall, movie theaters will be places to take refuge from the cold outdoors (hard to imagine now but it will happen). And Hollywood is releasing lots of films that are sure to be popular with big crowds, and draw big money. Big stars are involved with many of these upcoming projects including Benedict Cumberbatch… But seriously, the guy is in like every film… So be sure to check out the images Newscom has of the upcoming top movies of Fall 2013.
Ender’s Game. The sci-fi adventure based on the book of the same name by Orson Scott Card is scheduled to be released this November. However, after recent comments made by the author about homosexuality, many don’t have interest in supporting the film.
Anchorman 2. Ron Burgundy is back and his legend continues. The Judd Apatow produced film is being anxiously awaited by all. Most of the cast is back and includes new faces like Kristen Wiig and Meagan Good.
Dallas Buyers Club. Matthew McConaughey got scary skinny for his role in his upcoming movie. Thankfully since wrapping he can go back to eating cheeseburgers.
Captain Phillips. Tom Hanks plays the captain of a ship overtaken by Somali pirates in a film based on a true story.
12 Years a Slave. Benedict Cumberbatch makes his way into another 2013 film! This one is the heartbreaking tale of a free black man sold into slavery (even the trailer could make one cry). The movie also stars Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender and Paul Dano.
The Wolf of Wall Street. Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest film has already sparked a viral gif showing the actor doing a crazy dance move that is sure to put a smile on your face. So basically, everybody wants to see the movie based on that.
Don Jon. Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directs, and stars in his upcoming movie about a Jersey boy who falls in love with Scarlett Johansson (well the character she plays). And Tony Danza plays his father. This film has everything.
Delivery Man. Vince Vaughn plays a man who through sperm donation, fathered 142 children… wow. Chris Pratt plays his best friend, and Cobie Smulders plays his love interest.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The upcoming film teams comedy geniuses Kristen Wiig and Ben Stiller in an interesting drama. The imagination of the main character provides for beautiful cinematography.
Out of the Furnace. Christian Bale takes matters into his own hands in his upcoming film.
Foxcatcher. The storyline may be a serious one, but how can anybody take Mark Ruffalo serious in that getup? He really got into character.
Black Nativity. It’s a Christmas musical! That is something to get excited about.
Carrie. The remake of the classic 1976 horror film stars Chloe Moretz as the title-role. The pig’s blood look is still not cute and deeply disturbing.
American Hustle. The hair and costumes are enough to make anyone go see this film.
Saving Mr. Banks. The film based on a true story stars Tom Hanks as Walt Disney.
