Has it really already been a year since the last installment of the Harry Potter films was released? I feel like it was only yesterday that I was sobbing in the theaters because the end of an era had approached (I really have to start getting my emotions together). And although we may never see Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter on the silver screen again, it doesn’t mean that the actors’ careers are dead. In fact, they may very well be thriving.
Since the end of the film franchise that made Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint famous, the trio have gone their separate ways, embarking on new projects.
Despite the above photo, Grint is doing more than just golfing. According to his IMDB page, he has a lot of films lined up, including one he’s already shot entitled The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. The film also stars Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood. During his off time, Rupert continues to wear the best t-shirts ever…
The praise of Emma Watson has not died down since the end of Harry Potter. People are still ogling over her stunning good looks, but she has proved herself as a great actress as well. She graced the film My Week With Marilyn which starred big names like Michelle Williams and Judi Dench. Watson has also got The Perks of Being a Wallflower coming out in September (seeing Hermione speaking with an American accent is a bit unnerving). And despite her picture above looking like she may have changed career paths drastically, it is just her in costume for her upcoming role in The Bling Ring.
So what’s Harry Potter up to these days? Well after his stint on Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” Daniel Radcliffe has been busy filming as well. The drama Kill Your Darlings which is set to be released in 2013 also stars the lovely Elizabeth Olsen. So if you’ve wondered about his floppy hair, we only hope the role is the explanation. There are also rumors of him playing Pinocchio in a Guillermo del Toro film. And although he would only being lending his voice to the character, he could totally pull off the look…
So what about the rest of the stars of Harry Potter?
Well… Maggie Smith has been busy staring in Downton Abbey.
Tom Felton has been busy being adored by Rupert Grint (see above photo).
Alan Rickman is staring in a movie to be released in October with Cameron Diaz, Stanley Tucci, Colin Firth and Cloris Leachman… Can I buy my tickets now?
Oh how’s Bonnie Wright doing after her recent called-off engagement to fellow actor Jamie Campbell? Oh she’s probably fine since she’s so chummy with the future King of England’s in-laws…
And the Weasley twins (Jame and Oliver Phelps) went back to brunette. Wait… what? They aren’t natural red heads??? Outrage…
