Every summer there is always a stream of blockbuster hits to make their way into the movie theaters. And although summer holds the potential to explore the great outdoors, the number of heat waves and stifling hot temperatures push people into air conditioned theaters where they hope to be entertained for two hours by a good movie. And this year has yet to disappoint.
From action adventures, to movies about hot male strippers, this summer has had a season packed with big screen entertainment. The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone made a splash at the beginning of July, and also produced a new hot Hollywood couple.
The Avengers kicked off the summer with its release in May, making $1 billion worldwide in the first 19 days.
Oh Magic Mike… the movie every woman flocked to the theaters to see. Channing Tatum is just too good to resist…
Moonrise Kingdom has been the little odd film that has received nothing but praise.
Sparkle will be making its debut at the end of the summer and who doesn’t love a movie musical? The film which stars Jordan Sparks also features the late Whitney Houston.
Another set-to-be released film is Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. And let’s face it, anything with Meryl Streep in it these days means it’s got to be good.
And probably the biggest, and highly anticipated film of the summer was The Dark Knight Rises. With stellar acting from Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway, mixed into all the intense action, the latest Batman film was a recipe for success.
