Congratulations have been flying all around on Twitter today. Why? Because this morning, very early, the nominees were announced for the 2012 Emmy’s. It was so early that the award show’s host, Jimmy Kimmel didn’t even bother to get dressed to help in announcing for the show. Instead he upstaged his co-presenter Kerry Washington in his stylish pajamas. And after all the stars were woken up by their agents and notified of their nominations, they all took to Twitter to tweet away their support of fellow cast mates, and rivals.
The list is long, and already critics are putting in their two cents about who is going to go big or go home. Mad Men has high chances as it is tied with American Horror Story for most nominations, and with Emmy wins already under their belt, the show is already a big favorite for top prizes. Others that racked up nominations include, Downton Abbey and Modern Family, which has been one of the top ten TV shows of 2012.
Here at Newscom, we were excited to learn that some of our favorite celebs have been nominated for their roles in shows, including Benedict Cumberbatch and Max Greenfield. We look forward to the award ceremony which is set to take place on Sunday, September 23rd.
